'Garry Stead Walkathon'

Stoke's unofficial website

POTTERS POWER FORUM

I would like to say a big thank-you to everybody who participated in the Garry Stead walkathon at Apedale.

As one of the event organisers, I would publicly like to thank my fellow organisers, Apedale Heritage Centre, everyone who turned up on the day and everybody who sponsored the walkers.

On the day nearly £3,000 was raised, and it may well double when all pledges are in. Garry was Captain of Stoke Potters.

As an independent group of supporters, and moderators of the unofficial Stoke speedway forum, Potters Power were only too glad to organise an event to raise funds for Garry.

Every little helps, they say, and once again a big thank-you to everybody concerned.

PHIL SMITH
